The Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, or BAHEP, is a member-driven organization that provides the leadership to stimulate regional economic development and employment. Utilizing a collaborative committee structure, we engage more than 260 investor companies, business professionals, local governments, and educational institutions, in southeast Texas, to bring about prosperity and a high quality of life for the 1.5 million people who live and work in the region. Our members include business partners encompassing 13 cities, Galveston and Harris counties, and the Port of Houston Authority.

Diaz, Daniel update BAHEP members on Houston Airport System and Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base

The Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership hosted both Mario Diaz, director of the Houston Airport System, and Col. Jack “Stitch” Daniel, commander of Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base, during its May 16 General Membership Meeting held at Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook, Texas. Col. Daniel gave an overview of Ellington Field JRB including information on its tenants. Reinventing Houston Airports was the topic of the presentation given by Diaz.

Galveston County Commissioner Ken Clark was the featured speaker at a recent general membership meeting of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership held at Di Amici Upscale Events in Seabrook, Texas. His topic, “Regional Water Shortages and Conservation Measures: Possible Options,” addressed how the drought has affected Texas and the region and actions necessary to conserve this vital commodity.
